Case Study - Occupier Strategy for a national mid-tier ASX-listed company
Occupier Strategy for a national mid-tier ASX-listed company
During his time at another firm, Simon was appointed to develop and execute an occupier strategy to mitigate significant make good obligations for its Sydney office as its lease neared expiry.
A portion of the space had been sublet to a prominent US corporate which wanted to remain in the tenancy but the subtenant was required to vacate temporarily for the company to complete the make good works.
The landlord was keen to retain the US corporate as a tenant but insisted on a cash settlement from the company in lieu of meeting its make good obligations.
Through a strategically formulated and well-executed process, the company was able to successfully exit the premises without having to fulfil any of its make good obligations, achieving a very favourable outcome.
